Jamaican Cultural Exchange at TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ Festival 2025, Chemnitz

In 2025, Project Hummingbird Ltd. supported the participation of L’Acadco: A United Caribbean Dance Force in the TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ Festival in Chemnitz, Germany, as part of the wider cultural momentum surrounding Chemnitz 2025. This collaboration helped bring Jamaican and Caribbean dance to new audiences in Europe through performance, visibility, and intercultural exchange.

The project positioned Jamaican artists not simply as invited guests but as cultural ambassadors whose work contributed meaningfully to an international festival context. It also reinforced the importance of building structures that allow Caribbean artists to enter global stages with dignity, professionalism, and strong contextual support.
